In the News: California Science Project

This year, the California Science Project (CSP) responded to an increasing need for lesson study facilitators in science. The need became clear during the transition to virtual lesson study models during the pandemic. In particular, the San Fernando Valley Science Project is convening a statewide professional learning community of facilitators to provide support through an apprenticeship model that uses existing teams across the CSP network.

The CSP recognizes the growing interest in lesson study due to the virtual model across CSP sites, school districts and other science education partners and plans to devote more resources toward it.
