Inquiry and the Role of Writing in Antiracist and Culturally Sustaining Curriculum and Instruction

Inquiry and the Role of Writing in Antiracist and Culturally Sustaining Curriculum and Instruction is an Invitational Summer Institute (ISI) for the Central Writing Project that will be held in a hybrid format this summer. Applications are due May 5, 2023, and there is NO FEE for participation, selected participants will receive a $1000 fellowship for asynchronous and synchronous professional learning. Educators of all grade levels and subject matters who are willing to share their expertise and learn from others are invited to apply. Inquiry-focused sessions will include topics such as anti-racism; activism; supporting language learners; affective/emotional writing; environmental literacy and justice; critical literacy; and purposeful, meaningful, content-focused writing instruction and curriculum.
